Genesee County sits between the Buffalo and Rochester metros, with Batavia as its small city anchor and a county economy that still leans heavily on agriculture. The utility layer is the same as most of Western New York: National Grid electric, National Fuel Gas for residential gas. From a Batavia, Le Roy, Bergen, or Alexander address you can apply for:

  • NY-Sun: the state's upfront solar incentive. Genesee County sits in the upstate block.
  • NY-Sun Community Solar: subscriptions for renters and roofs that don't support a system. Bill credits land on the National Grid electric statement.
